Problem Solving Using Istanbul Traffic

A week and a half ago, Friday. Evening rush hour in a city of about 15 million give or take a couple of million. I was happily on a boat trip on the Bosphorus. My wife was on her way home from one of her schools, normally a 20 minute drive ... "normally" meaning Sunday morning at 08:00 a.m. ;) This was indeed a normal Friday evening.

Thinking of treating herself in my absence, my wife used her cell phone to call a burger place near our home. Being stuck in sidewalk-to-sidewalk traffic, a cell phone call posed a threat to no one. The clerk at "Burger House" said that the meal would be delivered to our home in 40 minutes. Excellent. Forty minutes later, my wife's cell phone rang with the delivery man saying ...

"I'm here but you're not."
"I'm stuck in traffic. Give me the security guard and he can pay you. I'll pay him back."
"Where exactly are you."
My wife explained.
"I'll meet you there. What kind of car have you got?"
Sure enough within a couple of minutes, the scooter appeared and my wife waved. The food was delivered through the car window.
The delivery man pulled out his POS (Point of Service Credit Card machine), my wife passed over her card and inched forward.  The delivery man, leaving his scooter in place on the road, walked ahead to have the PIN entered. My wife tipped him well and began to eat. She was home in about 20 minutes.

Any observer probably thought that this was a great business model: point of service delivery to your car. How to do it? GPS? Waze? ETA? TomTom? Any entrepreneurs out there?
